Wes Clark,
who made John Kerry's service the centerpiece of his 2004 convention
speech, disparaged McCain's heroic military service. This attack was
coordinated with Obama's speech redefining patriotism. How long will it
be before Barack Obama says, "That's not the Wesley Clark I know"?
"This is an effort to devalue Senator McCain's military experience and hero status, and to raise Obama's patriotic position by redefining patriotism."
Senator McCain's response to Clark was Clintonesque. He sounds hurt. Is he really surprised that Democrats seek to destroy him?
"We don't need The Messiah to redefine patriotism. We know it when we see it. We know it when we don't see it."
