Anti-war protesters
in America are pulling out an old tactic - spitting on
veterans and their families. There are several cases of
this, including one in Ithaca, NY, where the father of a
soldier in Iraq had to scrape off the "gratitude" of an
extraordinarily self-righteous woman who objected to his
bumper sticker.
Perhaps the worst
incident to date happened on Sunday, when a soldier who lost
his leg in Iraq was spit on by remnants of the "Jane
Fonda/Sean Penn" peace rally.
It wasn't too long
ago that the anti-war crowd was pretending that sympathy for
"fellow Americans in uniform" fueled their opposition to the
war. Now, frustrated perhaps by the betrayal of
Democrats, they've dropped the act and are beginning to show
their true colors.
So much for Camp
Casey.
